The RC Pit, an 1/8 and 1/10 scale off-road supercross track located just outside of Columbia, SC in Lugoff.  The RC Pit is an Awesome 1126ft. center line supercross track with twelve foot lanes, plenty of double and triple jumps, several technical areas, with two straightaways. A 16' high driver stand 8' by 40' towers over pit road which is 4' x 48' and over the track. There are no bad spots on the stand. At night, the track stands out better than in the daylight with twelve 1500 watt spot lights mounted forty feet in the air. There are no shadows.  The surface is hard packed clay, a smooth surface with no calcium added, and holds solid throughout the events.  The surface is great on tires, most lasting the entire race.  Maintenance is little to none during the race.  All lanes are lined with black poly pipe that is anchored into the base, the only thing we do between rounds is blow a little dust.  The track has a five zone watering system under ground that is fully automatic.  If it needs watering, it only takes twenty minutes to run it's cycle. We have had down pours two to three hours before a race and are able to start the race in little to no down time at all.  The track is on a slope and drains like no other.

We've had several great reviews from other racers posts on the rc forums and we were also highlighted on the NeoBuggy website after one race as a track that may one day hold a national event. We had a New Years race on January 1st, 2012, a single day event. With 187 entries, two rounds of qualifying, and twenty five races, we finished at 1:45am Monday morning. Now that was an awesome way to start off the 2012 racing season.

Every week we are making improvements to the facility and will continue to do so to make it one of the premier tracks on the East Coast.

We have two series scheduled for the 2012 season. The Saturday Night Lights Series, which is our club series, that races the second Saturday of the month starting on May 12th. Our $10,000 Mega Bucks Series is our Featured Series for The RC Pit Supercross. It consists of three races throughout the year, first one on April 13th, 14th, and 15th. The second race of the series is on 4th of July weekend...July 6th, 7th, and 8th, and the final series race is on Thanksgiving weekend, November 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Each race features a $10,000 purse paid to the Top 5 racers in each class.  To be the largest payout series in RC history.

If you're looking for some GREAT racing and competition, put The RC Pit Supercross on your schedule as a MUST visit for the 2012 season.   Let's get it on!
